Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Umber Inspection Services Group and adding a Senior Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for test reports. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
