Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Chicago, IL)

Lumen Forge Freight Group is a Chicago logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
