Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Birmingham, AL)

Lumen Oak Foods is a Birmingham food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need a Senior Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for allergen controls. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with allergen controls. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
