Senior IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Fernwood Quill Facilities is a facilities company in Des Moines with crews on day and night shifts, and we need a Senior IT Support Specialist to lead our user accounts and access. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with cleaning schedules. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
