Senior IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (Anchorage, AK)

Ironwood Summit Insurance is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist. The job centres on user accounts and access for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 166 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
