Senior IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Rochester, NY)

Summit Thistle Financial is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist. The job centres on network troubleshooting for vendor spend, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with vendor spend. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
