Senior IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (remote)

Nova Pike Construction Group is a Chicago contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring a Senior IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with project schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
