Senior IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Jackson, MS)

Fernwood Summit Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Jackson and nearby communities, and we need a Senior IT Support Specialist to lead our network troubleshooting. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
