Senior IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Lumen Harbor Energy and adding a Senior IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be network troubleshooting. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
