Senior IT Support Specialist - help desk (remote)

Nova Orchard Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Grand Rapids focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring a Senior IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
