Senior IT Support Specialist - help desk (Grand Rapids, MI)

Stonegate Ashton Civic Services Group is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
