Senior IT Support Specialist - help desk (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Bright Vale Community Partners and adding a Senior IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. You would join a large organisation of about 829 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
