Senior IT Support Specialist - help desk (Grand Rapids, MI)

Lumen Maple Manufacturing is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
