Senior IT Support Specialist - help desk (Grand Rapids, MI)

Nova Vale Staffing is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for retention, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with retention. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
