Senior IT Support Specialist - help desk (Austin, TX)

Amberfield Union Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Austin. We are hiring a Senior IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Austin. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
