Senior IT Support Specialist - device setup (Rochester, NY)

Ironwood Hollow Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Rochester, and we need a Senior IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
