Senior IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Amberfield Timber Learning Group is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
