Senior IT Support Specialist - device setup (Detroit, MI)

Lumen Works is a cultural organisation in Detroit presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring a Senior IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with volunteer programmes. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
