Senior IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Jackson, MS)

Ironwood Sable Water Authority Group is looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist. The job centres on asset tracking for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 448 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
