Senior IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Grand Rapids, MI)

Silverline Beacon Water Authority Partners supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Grand Rapids and nearby communities. We are hiring a Senior IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
