Senior IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Buffalo, NY)

Northwind Basin Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Buffalo region. We are hiring a Senior IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
