Senior Instructor - certification prep (Portland, OR)

Fernwood Sable Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Portland region, and we need a Senior Instructor to lead our certification prep. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Track attendance and progress and follow up with those who fall behind. • Adapt lessons to different learning speeds and backgrounds. • Plan and teach classes to adult learners of mixed experience. • Collect feedback and improve the course each term. • Prepare materials, exercises and assessments about retention. What we are looking for • Comfort with slides, handouts and basic online tools. • Teaching, coaching or training experience. • Patient, encouraging and clear. Nice to have • Teaching credential or training certificate. • Subject experience in retention. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
