Senior HR Business Partner - onboarding (Oakland, CA)

Nova River Press produces print and digital publications in Oakland, and we need a Senior HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. You would join a small organisation of about 100 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on paper stock. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with paper stock. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
