Senior HR Business Partner - onboarding (Jackson, MS)

Fernwood Meadow Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Jackson area, and we need a Senior HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on meter reading. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
