Senior HR Business Partner - onboarding (Grand Rapids, MI)

Westbrook Lantern Learning Group is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner. The job centres on onboarding for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on school calendars. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
