Senior HR Business Partner - onboarding (Grand Rapids, MI)

Fernwood Vale Housing is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner. The job centres on onboarding for maintenance stores, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 750 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on maintenance stores. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with maintenance stores. • SHRM or HRCI certification.
