Senior HR Business Partner - onboarding (Chicago, IL)

Cedar Umber Civic Services supports public agencies in Chicago with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Senior HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on public records. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with public records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
