Senior HR Business Partner - manager coaching (remote)

Summit Rook Construction is a Grand Rapids contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need a Senior HR Business Partner to lead our manager coaching. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on permits. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
