Senior HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Grand Rapids, MI)

Nova Timber Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Senior HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 87 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on waiting lists. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with waiting lists. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
