Senior HR Business Partner - employee relations (Hartford, CT)

Fernwood Oak Legal Group is a law firm in Hartford serving businesses and individuals, and we need a Senior HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on document review. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with document review. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
