Senior HR Business Partner - employee relations (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Cedar Fox Water Authority and adding a Senior HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be employee relations. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on capital projects. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
