Senior Financial Analyst - variance reporting (San Antonio, TX)

Bright Fern Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around San Antonio. We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Model the cost of service connections and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
