Senior Financial Analyst - variance reporting (remote)

Nova River Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Austin and nearby communities. We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Model the cost of capital projects and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
