Senior Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Jackson, MS)

Fernwood Keystone Civic Services supports public agencies in Jackson with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of budget submissions and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
