Senior Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Portland, OR)

Amberfield North Insurance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. The job centres on cost modelling for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of catastrophe response and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
