Senior Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Summit West Transit Planning and adding a Senior Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be cost modelling. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Austin. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of fare systems and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
