Senior Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Wichita, KS)

Northwind Basin Civic Services supports public agencies in Wichita with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with public records. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
