Senior Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Ironwood Vale Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Austin and nearby communities. We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
