Senior Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Nova Mill Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Rochester design routes and schedules, and we need a Senior Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
