Senior Dispatcher - customer updates (remote)

Highbridge Umber Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Providence, and we need a Senior Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. You would join a large organisation of about 942 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
