Senior Dispatcher - customer updates (remote)

Summit Clear Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Charlotte, and we need a Senior Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of dock schedules. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
