Senior Dispatcher - customer updates (Philadelphia, PA)

Amberfield Union Freight is looking for a Senior Dispatcher. The job centres on customer updates for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 568 people based in Philadelphia. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
