Senior Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Sacramento, CA)

Bright Forge Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Sacramento. We are hiring a Senior Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling proof of delivery on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of proof of delivery. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
