Senior Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Rochester, NY)

Bright Forge Freight is looking for a Senior Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
