Senior Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (remote)

Highbridge Harbor Freight is a Richmond logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Senior Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a small organisation of about 146 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
