Senior Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (remote)

Summit Stone Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Seattle. We are hiring a Senior Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a large organisation of about 971 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
