Senior Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Providence, RI)

Ironwood Quarry Freight is a Providence logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Senior Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a small organisation of about 157 people based in Providence. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling proof of delivery on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
