Senior Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Jackson, MS)

Silverline Wren Freight is looking for a Senior Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 175 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
