Senior Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Grand Rapids, MI)

Fernwood Hollow Farms is looking for a Senior Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for seasonal crews, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling seasonal crews on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of seasonal crews. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
