Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Westbrook Lakeside Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in ridership counts and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
